GT World Challenge America (VIR) 2025

Alton, VA

The GT World Challenge America powered by AWS put on an unforgettable show at VIRginia International Raceway, where RS1’s Jan Heylen and Alex Sedgwick dominated both GT3 races in the No. 18 Porsche 911 GT3 R.

The pair delivered flawless drives and strategic pit stops to secure a weekend sweep in the Pro category, fending off strong competition from JMF Motorsports’ Michai Stephens and Kenton Koch in the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, who finished second in Race 2. Connor De Phillippi and Kenton Koch rounded out the podium in the No. 99 BMW M4 GT3 Evo, showcasing the intense pace among the top-tier Pro teams.

In Pro-Am, Turner Motorsport’s Justin Rothberg and Robby Foley continued their winning momentum, securing back-to-back victories that strengthened their championship lead. The AM class saw a standout performance from Scott Dollahite and Eric Powell in their Ford Mustang GT3, battling through mechanical setbacks to claim the Race 2 victory.

The weekend featured high drama, including a full-course caution and two power outages during Sunday’s race, but the competition across all GT3 classes highlighted just how close the 2025 championship fight has become heading into Road America.
