Introduce Yourself and Your Car
“I am Pierce Sams, the “Jack Black” of stance. And this is my 2012 Mazdaspeed3”
How Long Have You Had It, What Made You Choose It?
“I purchased this car at the end of 2019 with little knowledge of the platform. I had just sold my 8th gen Honda civic si and was wanting to leave the Honda scene for good. I knew I wanted something turbo and unique that was not very common in my area. My dad had a Focus ST at the time so hot hatches were fresh on the brain. The Mazdaspeed 3 fit me perfectly and I would soon learn their quirks and issues pretty quickly”

Future Plans?
“In the future I would like to fully finish the interior of the car to make it really stand out from the others and shows and events. I would like to complete a fully custom trunk setup and also get the rest of the interior to match more of a theme I have planned out. I also plan on achieving a more aggressive stance with the car by getting some bigger lips for my wheels and adding a tasteful amount of camber without going too overboard. When the aesthetics are in a position that I am pleased with I plan on starting building an engine and going big turbo for some more power and fun”
What/Who Got You Into Cars?
Growing up in the early 2000s I was surrounded by multiple car influences. My dad had a large part in getting me into cars by taking me to events like drag and NASCAR races pretty often. I also grew up playing the PS2 playing such classics as “Need for Speed Most Wanted”, “Need for Speed Underground 2”, and “Midnight Club 3”. Me and my brother would play, and possibly fight, over these games for hours at a time. I had loved all kinds of cars in general but I think those games had a strong part in me falling in love with the Japanese Tuner car scene.
Any Advise For Those Wanting To Get Into The Car Scene?
“For those getting into the car scene, and especially those that are younger, I recommend that you be respectful. The quality of you should be higher than the quality of your build. Being in this scene has brought me to meet and grow close to so many quality friends, and I would hate to lose those opportunities to those that seek clout and attention through starting takeovers or any other dangerous street activities. I believe respecting each other and those outside of the community is what is needed to save the scene”
