Linc’s FRS
Hey guys! My name is Linc and this is my personal Scion FRS. I Bought this car back in 2022 and have had it a little over a year as of writing this and can confidently say its one of my favorite cars I’ve ever driven.
Mod List
This car is your standard cookie cutter 86 build. I have the VLand Headlights, Valenti Tails which you NEVER see on these cars. Its also lowered on Rev9 Hyperstreet coilovers, sitting on some ESR SR08s wrapped in some 225/35 Nitto Neo Gens. Everything on the exhaust that can be touched, has been. I have catless UEL headers, then to a Megan Racing overpipe, to a catless front pipe, and a Manzo catback. I also have 3% tint on the sides and rear of the car, and 35% over the full front windshield. (Cops reading this, mind ya business.). I also have a TFF bash bar hidden under the facelift kouki 86 bumper I swapped on about a month ago as I think its the best front end for these cars. I also ditched the huge wang that came with the car and reaplaced it with the Ralleybacker duckbill spoiler. As for performance mods, I dont really have much other than a Stage 2+ OFT tune with a flame map.
Back Story
Back when Forza Horizon 4 was popular, I used to play it constantly every day after school. Every time I logged on the game, I chose my favorite car to start off with, which was a black Subaru BRZ (same thing), with a HUGE wing. I would drive for hours on end with that car and hardly ever drove anything else. I fell in love with the looks of the car and finally started seeking them out at meets and in public and fell in love even more. I always kind of viewed it as a car I didn’t HAVE to own, but wouldn’t mind owning one day, and here we are!
Buying the car
After I totaled my first car, it was time to get on the hunt for something new. My first car was a 2013 Dodge Avenger R/T, which I loved, but this time I wanted a real sports car. Originally my first choice was a 2015 VW Golf I had found out in Georgia that was built as a street car. Fully built motor, upgraded turbos, the whole 9 yards. I had the payment ready for the car but the problem began when the guy who owned it, couldn’t get the title released to him for him to sell it. Weeks went by and finally my bank called and said they would have to cancel the loan since it had been so long. So later that day after getting that call, I went back to the drawing board… Facebook marketplace. Within minutes I saw it, a 2015 Black Scion FRS with a huge spoiler. I got in touch with the owner and arranged to come test drive that night. So that night after work, I made the hour and a half drive down to drive the car and loved it. The next day after driving I left for IA with some friends for the weekend and as soon as I got back, I bought the car.
